What calendars can be connected?

DenGro can connect to online calendar tools such as Calendly, Acuity, and Appointmentor.

Using a Zapier webhook integration, practices can connect individual booking calendars to DenGro to create a new task flow on the Today page – Appointment Requested.

How do I connect my calendar?

We’ve detailed the steps to connecting your calendars with Zapier, below, but you can also watch our video guide.

1. Create a Zapier account

Firstly, you’ll need to create a Zapier account. Zapier is a 3rd party tool, known as a webhook integration. It allows you to connect different types of forms to your DenGro account, change the destination that the forms sends the submitted data to.

Zapier offers a a number of different payment plans, depending on your needs, including a free plan. You can create your Zapier account by visiting

2. Connect your Zapier account to your DenGro account

To connect your Zapier account to your DenGro account, you’ll need to have an Integrator or Manager role in DenGro. If you don’t have this level of permission, please check with the owner of the account.

If you have the right access, go to Practice Settings (the cog symbol at the top right of the Today page; or under the 3 horizontal line menu on the left of the screen, if on mobile) and select Practice Integrations. When the page loads, scroll down to the Zapier pod and click to open it. Then, click on the button to Integrate Zapier.

This will open a new web browser and log you in to your Zapier account to enable the connection between the two accounts.

3. Set your trigger

Next, you’ll need to select to Create a new zap.

A. Pick your calendar tool

The first step will ask you to set your trigger – in other words, where is the information coming from that you want to send in to DenGro.

Depending on which online calendar tool you use, you’ll need to search for it in Zapier. In the video guide, we’ve used Acuity as an example.

B. Select the event

Next you need to confirm which event type in the calendar tool (Acuity) you want to use as the ‘trigger’ for sending data in to DenGro – in this instance, it’ll be when a new appointment is booked in Acuity.

C. Choose the account

From there, you’ll need to log-in to the the online calendar account – in this case the Acuity account that you want to connect.

D. Pick calendar and appointment type

Finally, you’ll need to select which calendar and appointment type, in your calendar account, that you want to connect.

E. Find data

Once you’ve set and connected where the information is coming from, Zapier will reach out and pull in example data from that calendar, for that appointment type. To do this, you’ll need to make sure there’s at least one booking (test or real) in the calendar you’re trying to connect.

4. Set your action

Once you’ve set the trigger (the selected event occurring in the calendar tool), the next step is set the action (creating an event in DenGro as a result of the trigger event taking place).

A. Find the DenGro app

First off, you’ll need to search and find the DenGro app – if you’re not able to find it in the search, make sure you’ve completed the 2nd step of these instructions and have enabled the Zapier integration from your DenGro account.

B. Select your event

Next, you’ll need to define what type of contact you want to create in DenGro with the information from the calendar – in this case, we would recommend selecting Appointment Requested.

Find out more about Appointment requested tasks here.

C. Choose the account

This step will ask you to confirm which DenGro account you’d like to connect.

If this is the first Zapier connect you’ve made, you’ll need to add a new account and log in to DenGro, confirming your consent to data sharing with Zapier.

D. Customise the appointment request

Finally, you’ll need to customise the appointment request – in other words, confirm how you want to link the data captured in the calendar booking, to the fields available in DenGro.

Click on each relevant field to see a list of data captured through the calendar booking. Then, simply click on which data you want to be captured in that specific DenGro field.

**For appointment requested, it’s essential that you have a Start Time (for Acuity, you’ll need to select the DateTime option from the drop-down menu).

E. Submit a test

The last step is to submit a test through to your DenGro account and check that all the information is captured and displayed accordingly.

Once you’re happy, all you need to do is switch your zap on, and you’re good to go
